Barone appeared in the fourth-season Seinfeld Episode The Shoes as Gail Cunningham a chef who wanted Elaine Benes shoes. Then in the 90s, Barone made an appearance in the show Carol & Company alongside Carol Burnett. Barone was also her wife, Carol Willick Ross Geller in Friendsthe initial episode. Jane Sibbett took over her character after Barone left the show to focus on working full-time. Barone was on The Jeff Foxworthy Show during the first year (1995-1996) and The War at Home in 2005-2007. Barone was co-starring alongside Daddio in 2000. Barone also has credits in television shows such as Desperate Houswives Quantum Leap Empty Nest Chicago Hope Castle Do Not Disturb Ally McBeal Caroline the City Party of Five The Larry Sanders Show. Barone received the Methodfest Best Supporting Actress Award 2005 in 2004 for her performance on the film One Last Ride. Barone's role as a regular in Shake It Up Disney Channel show Shake It Up began in 2010, about three years following The War at Home finished the show's run. She played officer Georgia Jones, the mother of Bella Thorne's CeCe Jones. Matthew Glave, Barone's actor husband was a guest on two episodes of Shake It Up in the part as J.J. Jones.
