Lockhart also has an ever-growing following as a lifestyle influencer and is employed by the renowned clean beauty company Ilia. She was born without her left hand, and it's part of who she is--but this isn't the whole truth. The account on Instagram of Lockhart doesn't deny her handicap. It also doesn't insist on it. It's a reminder. We all have multiple aspects of identities and that we're much more than our physical selves. Lockhart through a video message sent from her Nashville at home, claims that I don't wish for my physical appearance to define me. I am greater than the physical person I am. And it doesn't affect my daily life. I conduct things normally, and I've discovered my own method of adjusting things. In addition, I see it to be a vital part of myself. Lockhart has been a great source of inspiration for her female friends in the area of acceptance of oneself. However, she acknowledges going through phases with her body and sometimes being unsure about wearing specific types of clothes which showed off her arms. Today, she wears anything she'd like. and she shares pictures on social networks. To her, self-love was an extended trip. But, this isn't the case with anyone with doubts. The people you surround yourself with who truly know you and see through your eyes are the ones you should be relying on who can remind you of the things you're concerned about.
