While I had one baby on me and others within the cradle would work 12 hour shifts grinding floors and cutting off wallpaper. Ha! The house was getting closer to being done, yet it was still a long distance to go. This was going take the time, energy, as well as my personal favorite for furniture to decorate this home. In order to keep my budget intact, I went with my 3 boys looking for bargains in estate sales. The weekly ritual was that we would walk through estate and garage sales on Saturdays and Thursdays, purchasing a mix of old and new pieces. I then spent the rest of my time painting and sanding out in the driveway. The furniture was like this... and that's where I found my love to restore. After our home was fully decorated, I couldn't stop! Markets in town had room for me to market my items. I could outgrow the market because I had numerous pieces I could use. The number of people who visited my home over the course of a weekend, to shop for everything on the ground floor. This is where my business Growing Days was born. The business I was running was growing, but my family was also expanding. In a way, I had found the perfect equilibrium between motherhood and starting my new business. Growing Days just fit. In 2013, my daughter Nora became our fourth daughter. My business was booming but I wanted a rest. I decided to stop building my old furniture for a while and spend time with my children. It was time. After a while, off the phone started to ring. There were calls from people asking me to help them with interior decor and home renovations. The majority of them came into my residence during my furniture open houses. In the course of my work I began adding clients to my list one by one. However, it didn't take long before I managed multiple clients and ran a profitable home improvement business. When you first spoke to me about my business in home renovation I laughed. In the present, as I look back on this situation I am laughing.
