Jenna Fischer is best known for her character Pam Beesly on the acclaimed television show The Office, for which she was awarded an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress as well as Two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance by An Ensemble Comedy.
Her mother, Anne was a performer in church theater as a child and instilled a passion of theater and performance in Jenna. Jenna's mom Anne often performed in church plays in her younger years which sparked an interest in theater.
Fischer is an actress with the theater background. She starred in the Off-Broadway show Reasons to Be Happy that was directed and written by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, and Fred Weller. Then, she starred in Steve Martin's new play Meteor Shower. It was an absurdist comedic piece opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg and ran for record-breaking time at Old Globe Theatre.
The Office actress Angela Kinsey Fischer's friend from real life and co-star, debuted Office Ladies in October 2019 on Earwolf. The show became hugely popular and ranked within the Top Ten of the world each week. The podcast received more than 200 million downloaded during its first two years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Awards in January 2021.
She has written two books, The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide in which she describes her journey to Hollywood as an actor in the field, and Office BFF's, Tales of The Office From Two Great Friends who were There, an account of the most memorable friendship they had as well as their experience watching The Office.
